May flowers

I bought a book today on basic photography skills, and started reading it while on the elliptical (still multitasking a bit too much, I fear).  Anyway, here is my first attempt at using a wider aperture setting.  I was pretty happy with it! (These are tiny flowers.)

  1. Very pretty. Now, THAT is the sort of shot I cannot capture with my point and shoot camera. Well done, you!

  2. So lovely! I don't recognize those flowers at all--are the some type of columbine? They're gorgeous.

  3. Gorgeous flowers, and I'm glad you are learning some new things--that is always fun! Somehow it seems I never learn anything until I spend time with my son, and somehow he can tell me one little thing that makes a lot of pieces fall together.
