Looked out at the deck this morning and spotted a dead squirrel lying UNDER a chair. How did this happen? No sign of being bitten or carried by another animal. It could have fallen out of the tree, but then how did it get under the chair?
Maybe he was able to take a few steps after falling. I recently saw one fall from quite a distance from one of our trees and after being still and dazed for a minute, he'd take a few steps then stop then take a few steps again (until he eventually scampered away).
