Thermometer says it all: temps got into the 20s and the snow got all mushy and soft! No gloves needed today! ("Cold" is a relative thing.) This is the view out of a main floor window towards our deck. The blurred icicles in the foreground drip down from the top support of the glider. (And yes, we have a tree growing out of our deck. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea in 1967, but now, not so much.)
Omigoodness. I'm going to try to stop complaining about the cold here.
ReplyDeleteI really love this photo.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly fine to complain about the cold wherever you are! My friend in Tucson was shivering because it was 45 the other morning and I'm sure it felt cold to her! In October, that feels cold to ME! (Now it would feel like a heat wave!) I find it so interesting that we find temps of 20 degrees "balmy" after we have been through a period of below zero temps. Humans are constantly adapting and adjusting to the current environment!
ReplyDeleteI love how you framed the thermometer! And I can't even imagine temps of 20 degrees being considered a warming trend!
ReplyDeleteLol, I guess cold IS a relative thing!
ReplyDeleteAh, this made me laugh, Lynn! The composition is delightful, and the tree story is priceless.
